Housing Support
As a youth homelessness charity, we believe every young person deserves a safe home and a fresh start.
Do you need supported accommodation?
If you are aged 17-24 and have support issues you may need supported accommodation.
For Moving On Durham this means you would be able to rent one of our properties across County Durham and our Housing Management Team and Support Workers will work with you on whatever challenges you face until you are able to live independently in the community by yourself.
In most cases this takes between 6 months and 2 years.
What are support issues?
These can be anything that means you are not at this point in your life able to live independently in the community by yourself without support.
You may be a young person leaving care, have faced issues with substance abuse, poor mental health or family breakdown that are stopping you achieving your potential.
If we decide together that Moving On would be suitable for you, then accepting support on a weekly basis will be a condition of your tenancy.
