Jess came to Moving On as a care leaver. She had been in care her whole life and when she turned 18, she felt she was ready to take that leap and live more independently with assistance from her support worker when she needed it. Jess has engaged extremely well with her support worker and developed a strong and trusting relationship.
Jess had big ambitions to finish college and get the qualifications she needed to go to university. Through her positive attitude and hard work, she has gone from strength to strength, setting positive goals to improve her future. Due to Jess’s fantastic ‘can do’ attitude she gained the qualifications she needed to go to university.
With support, Jess has managed her tenancy very well. Jess is an extremely organised and motivated person and used these skills to ensure she was proactive in managing her own life and always tried to resolve any issues she faced before reaching out for support.
Jess left Moving On in summer 2022 to go to York University to study forensics and her support worker couldn’t be more proud of her. She is positive Jess will continue to work hard to reach her goals and create a very successful life for herself. WELL DONE JESS!
